Hertford & Stortford
Hertford and Stortford is a UK parliamentary constituency of some 80,000 people in the south east of the County of Hertfordshire. The main centres are Bishop's Stortford, Hertford, Sawbridgeworth and Ware.
There are several other villages and communities including: Bayford, Brickendon, Eastwick, Gilston, Great Amwell, Hertford Heath, High Wych, Hunsdon, Much Hadham, Stanstead Abbotts, St. Margarets, Wareside, and Widford.
Bishop's Stortford
Bishop's Stortford is the largest town in the constituency, with a population of more than 32,000 people. This ancient market town has developed into a popular area of commuters, with rail links to London's Liverpool Street Station, the M11 motorway nearby, and Stansted Airport to the east. Despite the town's growth in recent years, it still retains much of its ancient charm and heritage. The town boasts a mixture of traditional locally owned shops, and all the high street chains and department stores that are expected of a large town. There is plenty of entertainment in the evening with an abundance of restaurants, traditional pubs, and bars. Visitor attractions include the Castle Gardens, the Rhodes Centre, and St Michael's Church.

Hertford
Hertford is the county town and is the second largest town in the constituency with a population of 25,000. The rivers Rib, Beane, Mimram, and Lea all meet in Hertford, a picturesque place which is protected from over development by Green Belt land which encircles the town. Hertford is a busy commuter town, with good road and rail links to London and the south east of England.
The town is the administrative headquarters of Hertfordshire County Council, East Herts Council, and Hertford town council. It also has many other service, pharmaceutical, and technology-based industries. Much of the town centre is a conservation area, owing to its great historical buildings including the 15th century Hertford Castle, the Verger's House, and the 18th century Shire Hall.

Sawbridgeworth
This charming town is one of the smaller towns in the area, with approximately 8,000 residents. Sawbridgeworth is only four miles down the River Stort from Bishop's Stortford, and is very close to the border with neighbouring county Essex. The town has a rich history, and reference to it can be found in the Domesday Book. The Parish Church and Market Square are the main focal point.

Ware
This delightful market town has a population of 17,000. Ware is a picturesque town with much heritage, but it is also a busy commercial centre, with GlaxoSmithKline the main employer in the area. The High Street contains several national chain of retailers such as Tesco and Boots, and the traditional market on a Tuesday brings many people to the town. The banks of the River Lea which runs through Ware provide peace and serenity, and the unique 18th century gazebos give the riverbank extra charm.
