Brexit Statement

I welcome the Cabinet agreement from Chequers. It strikes a sensible balance between wanting to regain control over our laws, trade and borders, whilst also setting out a coherent and sensible proposal to the EU, for working with them, when we leave next March.

Inevitably it has compromises, but what matters is that we can now get on and make Brexit happen, when we leave. Ministers now need to present this to the EU and negotiate hard to get the best possible deal.
