#DelayRepay15 will come into effect on Greater Anglia routes from April 1. From this date, you can claim for delays of 15 minutes and get 25% of your single fare back. This is an improvement on the current 30 minute delay limit which, with other commuters, I've lobbied to be changed.
The rail minister has assured Mr Prisk that, while this is a welcome milestone, the priority continues to be on improving reliability.
In his letter to Mr Prisk, Andrew Jones stated:
'The DfT is working with the industry to deliver significant improvements in reliability... the operator is investing £1.4 billion into replacing all of the trains to transform rail services across the region... I am determined to work with the industry to ensure that it operates as effectively as it can for the communities and businesses that it serves.'
