Mark Prisk MP has written to object to the proposal for a quarry at Briggens Estate.
In his letter to Hertfordshire Country Council Mr Prisk makes clear that:
The scale of the proposed extraction and its duration of 22 years are wholly inappropriate for this site, on planning, environmental and pollution grounds. A working farm would also be lost. On these grounds I believe this proposal to be unsustainable.
