Mark comments on Briggens Estate proposal

Mark Prisk MP has written to object to the proposal for a quarry at Briggens Estate.

In his letter to Hertfordshire Country Council Mr Prisk makes clear that:

The scale of the proposed extraction and its duration of 22 years are wholly inappropriate for this site, on planning, environmental and pollution grounds. A working farm would also be lost. On these grounds I believe this proposal to be unsustainable.

The Draft Minerals Local Plan Consultation closes on February 9th. More information about the consultation can be found here.
