Mark Prisk MP is supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2019 (NAW2019), highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships to employers, individuals, local communities and the wider economy in a week-long celebration of apprenticeships.
The campaign, running from 4 to 8 March 2019, is the 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW2019) and will see a range of activities and events being hosted across the country, aimed at challenging the outdated views many people still have about apprenticeships.
It comes before a local jobs and apprenticeships fair organised by the MP, aimed at local jobseekers.
Mark Prisk said:
‘I am delighted to continue my support for National Apprenticeships Week. I have employed two apprentices in my busy Westminster office, both of whom now work there full-time, so I can attest to the amazingly positive impact they bring to organisations.
‘This year’s campaign comes ahead of a local apprenticeships and jobs fair I’m organising on 3rd May. I’ll working closely with all local secondary schools in Hertford & Ware, Hertford Regional College, East Herts Council and Hertford Jobcentre to ensure that jobseekers and young people seeking apprenticeships attend. I am delighted to say that Stansted Airport has agreed to both sponsor the event.
‘The aim is to promote apprenticeship opportunities to young people and help employers seeking staff in a tight labour market. I encourage students and parents to engage with this event to see the brilliant opportunities that are available.’
Keep your eyes trained on Mark's social media in the coming weeks for more information on the fair!
