Mark Prisk met with the Alzheimer’s Society to learn about their proposed research into creating a new Dementia Fund, designed to stop people being financially punished for developing dementia.
Mark has been a long time supporter of the charity, hosting informative talks and events in the constituency, in schools and public spaces. Bishop's Stortford has status as a 'dementia friendly town' its status being approved by the Society's sister organisation, Dementia Friends.
Mark said “I welcome this initiative to see how dementia can be properly recognised in our social care system. The health care lottery needs to end.”
