Mark Prisk MP has successfully lobbied the rail minister on plans to suspend the service from Hertford North railway station to Stevenage.
The original plan would have seen the service suspended for almost seven years. After three meetings at the Transport Department the new Minister has responded to representations from local MPs and announced that:
- the suspension will be for 18 months,
- won't start until December this year (not May),
- the bus service will be every half hour between the two towns.
