Tours of the Houses of Parliament

The Houses of Parliament, also known as the Palace of Westminster, is one of the most iconic and historic buildings in the world and is therefore no surprise why many people contact me requesting information about booking a tour.

All tours are available to UK residents free of charge and must be sponsored by a Member of Parliament (MP) or a Member of the House of Lords.

Tours are accompanied by a tour guide who will take you from Westminster Hall into the two chambers of the House of Commons and House of Lords, passing through the infamous Central and Members lobby. You will also be taken into the Robing Room used by the Sovereign for the State Opening of Parliament and St Stephen’s tower, all of which are packed with history and art.

The tour includes a souvenir shop where you can buy something to remember your day.

Times and availability

Tours last approximately 75 minutes and subject to availability are available at the following times:

Wednesday: 9am-9.32am (full tour) and 9.36am-12noon (partial tour of Lords only)
Thursday: no tours

Booking a Tour

If you are interested in booking a tour you can contact me through my website or call my constituency office on 01279 312197

Please ensure when you are making your enquiry that you know the number of people you will be looking to book for along with dates you are available for up to 6 months in advance as demand is high.

Please also ensure that you would be able to arrive 30mins before the start of your tour to allow you to pass through the relevant security checks.

My office will then check availability with the Parliamentary Tours office and will get back to you.

If you are successful we will send you an online booking form and confirmation email.
